Building strong, safe and healthy communities . . . is our vision. The Foundation, formed in 1985, is dedicated to the enrichment of the communities we serve.
Serving Our Community:
- The Foundation increases Northside Hospital’s presence in the community by supporting activities and programs that benefit the communities of North Atlanta. Community partnerships and activities with schools and groups, such as the United Way, American Red Cross, YMCA, Atlanta Community Food Bank and Project Open Hand, allow Northside Hospital and its employees to be leaders in collaborative efforts to truly strengthen and improve our communities.
- The Foundation helps facilitate the involvement of employees, physicians, board members, auxilians and their families and friends in the community, by identifying valuable opportunities for volunteerism and matching community needs with an individual’s interests.
- As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the Foundation raises revenue through events, giving campaigns and other activities, to help meet patient care needs and enhance community programs and services provided by Northside Hospital.
To Make a Gift
By making a gift, you can thank an individual physician, nurse, caregiver, health care professional or an entire team for the wonderful care you, a family member or a friend received at a Northside Hospital facility.
Gifts can be made in honor or memory of a loved one, a doctor or a nurse. Simply include a note with that person’s name and mailing address so that we can send them an acknowledgement letter informing them of your generous gift in his/her honor.
You can even designate your gift for one or more special areas of the hospital to be used for new technology and equipment, staff education, community wellness programs and more.

Matching Gifts
Many employers offer a “Matching Gift” Program and will match your donation to a charitable organization such as the Northside Hospital Foundation. Please contact your employer to request a matching gift form, complete it and mail it to us with your gift.
Wills and Other Planned Gifts
Many people may not wish to make a gift during their lifetime but will do so with a planned gift. The most common type of planned gift is a bequest. Please contact your estate planning attorney to set up a bequest.
Gifts-In-Kind
In addition to outright cash gifts, the Foundation welcomes gifts of certain goods and services.
